I’m Dr. Cynthia Lenton-Gary, and I am committed to ensuring that Fort Bend County remains the best place in Texas to live, work, and raise a family. This community is my home, and for decades, I have been driven by a single purpose: to build a stronger future for all of our residents.

My passion for service is built on a foundation of deep community roots and tested experience. As a former member of the Fort Bend Independent School District (FBISD) Board of Trustees and elected to three consecutive terms as Board Chair for Houston Community College (HCC), I know what it takes to responsibly manage a large, complex budget and to champion policies that truly invest in our community's potential.

I believe that a thriving Fort Bend depends on:

• Fiscal Responsibility and keeping taxes low for homeowners and small businesses.
• Investing in Education and Workforce Training to prepare our students for the future economy.
• Smart Growth and Infrastructure Planning to manage our rapid population increase.

From my service in city government as the first African American female in Missouri City to my years guiding vital educational institutions, I have a proven track record of building consensus and delivering results. I don't just talk about change; I create it.
